Hindustan Times Media Ltd is always seeking to reward the young and ideological minds of the country. They have been known to have granted several scholarships to the young aspirants of Mumbai in a program every year which is itself a unique endeavour. This programme was launched in 2011 amongst the several other programs by the HT in Mumbai. It rewards the brightest minds of Mumbai school’s students from class 5-9 with a sum of INR 50,000. Over the years, more than 4 lakh students have participated in the program from 250+ schools.

Scholarship Amount The scholarship amount to be granted is INR 50,000 each to every 50 shortlisted students ranging from class 5-9 in every Mumbai school.
Eligibility Criteria
- Student should be an Indian Citizen
- Students eligible for the scholarship should range from classes 5 to 9 only with a net result of more than 60% in last year’s examination.
- Winners of last year’s HT scholarship program are not applicable to appear for the scholarship.
- Employee ward of Hindustan Times are not eligible to appear for the scholarship
How To Apply
The candidates should fill the nomination form and have them attested by the school authorities and submit it to the school only. The forms are available with the HT paper and also in the schools. You must read the instructions carefully before filling out the necessary details.

Shortlisting Process
Students will be shortlisted for interviews on the basis of their essay, academics and extracurricular achievements, by a team of experts.
Interview Process
A panel of senior editors will interview the shortlisted students and select the winners.
Award Function
Winners will be felicitated at a special award function in February 2018.
