Sri Venkateswara University is a public research university in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The university campus has a large plot of land granted by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. The university was founded in 1954 and is flanked by other educational institutions such as the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences, the Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, and the Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, and the Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam. It is associated with the UGC and has NAAC rating of 'A+.' 

It is also Andhra Pradesh's second-oldest institution, after Andhra University. There are four colleges at the university: the College of Arts, the College of Science, the College of Commerce, Management & Computer Sciences, and the College of Engineering. The SVU - Sri Venkateswara University library has a membership of 6,397 people. It is housed in a large structure with 400 readers. The university employs 50 administrative or support personnel and 25 professionals. 

The library has around 2,95,000 books, 3,500 dissertations and theses, and 35,000 journal volumes. The library offers various services, including reprographics, bibliographic and reference services, and book lending. A public speech system, slide projector, audio-video systems, and microfilm readers are included.

In 2020, the University placement achieved the highest salary of INR 6 LPA for Technical courses. Over 60% of students were placed, and corporates such as Cognizant, Dell, IBM, and Wipro, among others, visited the Sri Venkateswara University campus for placement.
